About

The Black Keys are a garage rock duo from Akron, Ohio made up of lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney. Upon dropping out of college, the duo began making a number of self-produced albums together, including The Big Come Up (2002), Thickfreakness (2003), Rubber Factory (2004) and Magic Potion (2006). The band’s fifth studio set, Attack and Release (2008), marked a turning point — not only was it their first project to be recorded in a professional studio, but they also found a producer in Danger Mouse, who would go on to become a frequent collaborator. The Black Keys’ commercial breakthrough occurred with the 2010 release of Brothers and its 2011 follow-up El Camino. Both landed in the Top 3 of the Billboard 200 and the former earned the band their first Grammy win for Best Alternative Music Album. Their 2014 LP Turn Blue became their first No. 1 album on the all-genre chart, with later studio sets including Let’s Rock (2019), Delta Kream (2021) and Dropout Boogie (2022). The band’s twelfth studio album Ohio Players was released in 2024.

  • Not a great move

by Shy on 2022-10-12Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was great! The real problem was that we were moved to seats at the back side of the stage and were unable to see the screen and for my family that couldn’t see the performance that was disappointing!

  • Great Sound

But didn't need to he so loud with the quality it was and forgot my earplugs.

  • Rocking rad guitar 🎸

by Arty party on 2022-10-07Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

The black keys show was amazing but I wish they would’ve given band of horses a bit more time and a few more songs. They are a huge opening act and they only played for 40 min instead of an hour and a half when I saw them last and they headlined a tour… The beginning and end of the black keys was quite incredible with big tunes and all the hits. The middle section was rad but maybe could’ve used one less delta Kreem song. Overall well worth the money and would recommend

  • Amazing show

by Tuna on 2022-10-07Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Black Keys was top shelf. Rogers arena - we don't understand why we can't keep the caps to our water bottles. Come on.

  • Great band to see live!

by Betzy on 2022-10-07Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

With the state of the economy right now it’s unbelievable how much Rogers arena is charging for drinks. We had a casual night of drinking throughout the show and almost spent as much as our FLOOR TICKERS. RIDICULOUS. As for The Black Keys: they killed it! No hate to the band, just can’t believe that.

  • Great value

by Sange on 2022-10-06Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

I’d seen the Black Keys the last time they were in town and second time around didn’t disappoint. Great show and great sound. They mixed it up a bit and went back to old influences. The guest guitarist was amazing. Straight into each song . 2 openers, we missed the Velveteers but Band of Horses played a solid set and were well received by those already in their seats.

  • Top shelf performance

by Chilliwack Lynn on 2022-10-06Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Sound was great … the Black Keyes are awesome live ! It was my first time seeing them and I can’t say enough good things about it

  • 2.5 of 5

    by 2nd timer on 2022-10-06Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

There was two bands before the black keys and all of this just ruined the whole evening. First band was so annoying, couldn’t get enough booze (too expensive at the arena) to go through that. Band of horses just hating to perform, i think they left the stage faster than I leave work at 5pm. Like whoopsie, we behind the clock, bye. Ew. The black keys was alright. Better than last time in Vancouver.
