  • 15.25 for a beer? I kid you not!!

by Chris on 2024-05-31History - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

The Show was great. But seriously, $15.25 for one beer is outrageous. That doesn’t include the tip. Actually deters me from going to another show there. Not saying I won’t go, but I will certainly think twice.

  • Best Show Ever!

by Michael on 2024-05-31History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The venue (first time there) was amazingly clean and well laid out for viewing the stage. Staff was friendly and plenty of room to move about. The show itself, Gary Clark Jr, was incredible. The live show with the full band kicked ass and the sound was great within the venue. Big plus for having a smoking pit outside lol. Would definitely go back and see another show.

  • Mr.

by mike on 2024-05-30History - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The venue sounds system lacked if you're sitting at the tables in the mezzanine, but the service and chairs were comfortable. We all were expecting and would of liked if Gary Clark Jr. played some of his classic hits, instead of all of his new stuff

  • Loved the show at history in Toronto

by Gary Clark is god on 2024-05-30History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I loved the show Gary Clark Jr. put on. It was my first time at the History venue which was beautiful. The staff at the venue were the best I’ve experienced and the lines were short.

  • Incredible and eclectic music from a modern master

by TheRover on 2024-05-30History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The first time I saw Gary C. was 10 years ago. He was already amazing, but apparently he was just getting started... After seeing over 250+ shows, since then, this was one of the best. His voice was insanely good. The command he has over his instrument is awe inspiring. His band was extremely impressive. Not a weak spot among them. I'm scared by how good this man is! Abraham Alexander opened, and good God, was I glad I made it for his whole set! Check him out if you haven't already! Seeing artists like this gives me hope for the future of music. History is a great venue, and the sound is very nice. Not a bad spot, really. Easy to get to on the TTC. Their reserved parking is also reasonably priced. They host ALL acts from Pop and Metal, to R&B and Jazz etc,. Hope to see more there! Thanks for the inspiration, to all who performed that evening! Extra thanks to GCJr., for deciding to stay in town an extra night, to give us 2 shows!

  • Generational guitar talent.

Phenomenal show. Generational guitar talent. Cool mix of genres and beautifully constructed. Great venue.

  • Living Legend

This may have been the best show I have ever seen. Cannot recommend seeing GCJ more!

  • Lots to like at history

by Steve on 2024-05-29History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

There is often some discomfort attached to a live show out in the city. Going into the evening I was prepared for a bunch of irritants and having seen Gary Clark several times in a variety of venues I was willing to deal. After a bit of self importance from the security staff upon entry the club was excellent for a live show. The service staff were on point and helped a lot with our beverage selections, dealt smoothly with inevitable inebriated clients, and maintained a solidly professional approach throughout the evening. And the show …why we were there…amazing. Gary Clark is full value, the band was tight, the whole event was so surprisingly without blemish. I could literally not be happier with the whole night. The whole group had a great time, could not have asked for anything better.

Great venue, and what a concert! Gary Clark Jr is easily one of the greatest artists of his generation.
