About

Tate McRae is a pop singer from Calgary, Alberta. After initially finding the spotlight at 13 as the first-ever Canadian finalist on So You Think You Can Dance, the multi-talented teen went viral on YouTube and TikTok with her independent single “One Day” and signed with RCA Records in 2019. McRae’s debut EP, All the Things I Never Said, followed in early 2020, and months later she notched her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 with “You Broke Me First.” The teen sensation released her debut full-length, I Used to Think I Could Fly, in the spring of 2022 after a string of collaborations with Troye Sivan and Regard (“You”), Blackbear (“U Love U”), Khalid (“Working”) and more. McRae’s sophomore album, Think Later, followed in December 2023 in the wake of its lead single “Greedy” becoming her first Top 10 hit. At the 2024 Juno Awards, McRae won Artist of the Year and Single of the Year for “Greedy.” In September 2024, McRae released the single “It’s Ok I’m Ok,” which marked her highest-charting debut on the Hot 100 at No. 20. She followed that with another hit, “2 Hands,” in November and announced the February 2025 plans for the release of her third studio album, So Close to What. The 15-track album features the hit single “Sports Car,” released in January 2025, as well as collaborations with Flo Millo and McRae’s boyfriend, The Kid LAROI (“I Know Love”).
