About

SZA has been a game-changer in R&B ever since she became the first female artist to sign to the independent hip-hop label Top Dawg Entertainment, joining the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock and ScHoolboy Q. The New Jersey-raised Grammy-winning artist  self-released two EPs before partnering with TDE in 2013 to distribute her breakthrough EP Z, which charted on the Billboard 200 and featured the certified-gold single “Child’s Play” with Chance the Rapper. While preparing her highly-anticipated debut album Ctrl, SZA co-wrote songs like the Nicki Minaj-Beyoncé collaborative single “Feeling Myself” as well as “Consideration” from Rihanna’s 2016 album Anti. Ctrl arrived in 2017, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 behind Top 40 singles like “Love Galore” and “The Weekend” and earning five Grammy nominations. SZA would win her first Grammy as a featured artist on Doja Cat’s 2021 single “Kiss Me More,” and gained further mainstream notoriety following collaborations with Maroon 5, Cardi B and Summer Walker. Her second album SOS debuted at No. 1 in late 2022 and topped the Billboard 200 for 10 non-consecutive weeks. In 2023, SZA earned her first two Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers with SOS’ “Kill Bill” and the Drake collaboration “Slime You Out.”

I went to her concert the first time she came to toronto and even though it wasn’t supposed to go as planned (medical accident) and she had to condense her setlist it was still so ethereal and trancsendent ✨✨✨

I mean she probably is good, but seems like I will never know considering she has not even booked toronto again, yet is already planning another tour. Unbelievable

  • Literally the best ever

by Maggs on 2023-03-31Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I knew from the start SZA was going to be good, but my god it was amazing. She is such an amazing artist I’ve been waiting since 2019 to see her live. My only gripes with the concert(nothing to do with SZA she’s great) was watching that kid get kicked out for busting such great moves on the dance floor. Is it a crime to be so good at dancing? Also the lines to get in were a bit wild and without any instruction, but what can you do. Overall was such a great experience, I could barley speak the next day lol

  • Incredible

    by M on 2023-03-24Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Everything from her vocals to the set pieces and performance were better than I imagined they would be! Wish it had lasted longer but it was already 3 hours :)

  • Great event, security was a mess

by heels on 2023-03-23Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

SZA performed great, but the security and staff was a mess. After the event, we went to lost and found and couldn't find what we were looking for, so they told us to go back inside the arena. Then we're trying to go back inside, and security is saying we can't go back inside. So many conflicting and contradicting direction from staff, and in the end we couldn't find what we lost. What is going on?!

  • AMAZINGGGGGGG… except for one thing

by Leeeesha on 2023-03-22Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve been a huge fan of SZA since 2016 and have always wanted to see her live. I’m so happy that I got to see her live in Van. From her dancers to the screen changes and the QUEEN herself, everything was amazing… however, the sound tech/engineer should get fired lol the openers sound was good, but when it came to SZA’s set when she started and throughout some parts of the show, the sound was very high pitched and not clear at all. It was so loud that my boyfriend and I had our ears ringing after the concert and that’s never happened before. Overall, seeing SZA made it worth having my ears ring lol

it was the greatest concert i’ve been to, the set design was immaculate and everything tied together so well!!! the guy that got kicked out for dancing didn’t do anything wrong though
