About

Joe Avati’s comedy pulls from a melting pot of influences. The Australian-born Italian ties in aspects of his classically Italian upbringing into his humor, garnering ample support from those who can relate to his experiences and those who are happy to laugh along. Relying on his clean-yet-quick-witted humor, Avati’s work appeals to a multi-generational audience. With nearly 30 years of experience in comedy and multiple worldwide tours under his belt, Avati has applied his comedic prowess to various avenues, hosting the podcast, A Serious Chat with A Comedian and having written the children’s book, When I Was Your Age. In April 2024, Avati was named Comedian of the Year at the Annual Australian Club Entertainment Awards.

  • Wrong venue

Joe Avanti was amazing. Absolutely hilarious, however we almost didn't make it. It is my fault, however, when I bought the tickets I saw Meridian, and assumed it was the venue downtown. Not the case. After a short freak out, hopped in an Uber and arrived 10 minutes late. After the concert for on the subway downtown as our car was parked there. It's a funny story now, but maybe we don't have more then one venue with the same name. I would highly recommend seeing Joe Avanti.

Great show at a great venue without having to downtown!! Getting to the show was easy. Getting into the show was quick. Only negative was paying for parking. Line up at the machine. I wish it wasn’t sold out. I would have loved to take more people to see it!

Great show - great comedian. Was very happy to see him perform in person as I follow him on all Social Media platforms. Good jokes without profanity. We had good seats and the venue was awesome.

This was my 4th time attending one of Mr. Avati's shows They seem to get funnier and funnier each time ! Had a great night, my rib cage is still hurting from laughing so hard. The opening acts were also amazing they had me in stiiches I'd also like to add that the people helping out e.g. the souvenir vendors, security people were all very pleasant and polite. Really made us feel welcome and valued. Thanks for a great evening
