About

Citing influences like Panic! at the Disco and Slipknot, Crown the Empire are more than your average metalcore band. Their debut album for Rise Records, The Fallout, is as much about poppy choruses and electronic flourishes as chugging riffs and screaming. If anything comes through in a Crown the Empire concert it is an uncompromising drive to be the biggest band in the world. Their dual vocal attack meshes perfectly to connect them to the solid power of heavy metal and the soaring drama of the best pop, giving ticket-holders plenty of bang for their bucks.

After a spot on The Warped Tour, Crown the Empire accompanied Asking Alexandria on their headlining tour across America and the UK. With their much more mature approach to The Fallout, masterful re-recording of the Limitless EP and an announcement to release another album some time in 2014, they may climb the heights they claim to be aiming for.

Crown the Empire began in 2010 when "Brandon and Austin decided to start jamming together." Still in high school, they gathered a group of talented musicians around themselves in an attempt to put together a hard-hitting band with mainstream appeal. Their first EP, Limitless, was well received in up-to-the-moment metalcore circles, where their deft handling of electronic elements did not go unnoticed. Their debut LP, The Fallout, shed some of their metal elements and welcomed a second vocalist into the fold, and their undeniable drive and energy lit up The Van's Warped Tour. After a support slot with Asking Alexandria through the rest of 2013 they announced that they were going back to the studio to record a new album. So far the band has only congealed their unique musical vision, and good things are no doubt ahead for this young band.
