Miami HEAT History
Founded in 1988 as an expansion franchise, the Miami HEAT are one of the NBA's premier organizations, laying claim to 16 Southeast Division titles, seven Eastern Conference titles, and three NBA Championships. After hiring renowned NBA coach Pat Riley in 1995, the team won its first Championship in 2006, led by Hall of Famers Shaquille O'Neal, Dwyane Wade, Alonzo Mourning, and Gary Payton. Miami then captured back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013 with their “Big Three” consisting of Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh.
In the summer of 2019, much of the team's current core began to take shape, as the HEAT drafted guard Tyler Herro, then acquired All-Star guard Jimmy Butler to round out a roster that already featured promising big Bam Adebayo. In their current form, the team has reached the Finals twice (in 2020 and 2023).

Great Venue
by valentinebb on 2017-03-21AmericanAirlines Arena - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5Easily accessible from area hotels. Walking distance. Easy to navigate. Pleasant staff inside and outside arena. Great selection of snacks and food. Clean. Streets were blocked off by police so it was safe when game let out to walk back to hotel. Conveniently located next to mall.

An awesome game! The Heat were outstanding!! Wade and Curry were a pleasure to watch! The tickets were pricey though. We were in the last row up nosebleed in the stadium and paid$110 each!

by Markers on 2013-12-17AmericanAirlines Arena - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5You would think up in 300 level not so good - but in the 1st row it's awesome. Food kinda pricey but apart from that had a great time- and of course we won.

by TouristFromCanada on 2013-04-04AmericanAirlines Arena - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5NY Knick C. Anthony was on fire from start to finish making it a great game. Didn't get to see Lebron play, he was off hurt but I still had a great time and had a great view. Highly recommended if you are in the area and are a hoops fan.
